Stylized Environment Artist

Angry Mob Games is looking for an experienced Stylized Environment Artist to join us on our upcoming, unannounced game.

This role is first and foremost about artistic quality. We’re searching for an artist with a strong visual art background—someone who deeply understands color, composition, lighting, mood, and shape language, and can turn existing level blockouts into rich, cohesive, and visually striking environments.

You’ll work closely with our designers, enhancing their blockouts by texturing, dressing, and composing scenes that feel intentional, readable, and full of character.

Responsibilities

• Create stylized 3D modular assets and textures aligned with the project’s artistic vision (interior props and modular architectural elements). 
• Transform designer blockouts into polished, visually compelling environments through strong scene composition and layout.
• Define final visual quality using a sharp eye for color harmony, lighting, materials, and mood.
• Independently deliver work that meets a consistent artistic and technical bar.
• Follow established pipelines to ensure all assets are game-ready.

Requirements

• Strong art fundamentals: excellent understanding of color theory, composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. 
• At least 2+ years of professional experience, with a portfolio showcasing stylized environment art for games.
• Proven ability to execute and adapt stylized art styles with confidence and consistency.
• Experience working in Unity.
• Strong grasp of environment design principles and modular workflows.
• Clear understanding of forms, shapes, silhouettes, and readability in 3D spaces.
• High attention to detail and strong visual judgment.

We are open to artists working Remotely or on a Hybrid basis, in Barcelona.
